Max Rutherston presents a Bizen pottery sculpture of Daruma by Mimura Tōkei (1885-1956)

The sculpture is to be exhibited at Brussels Art Square on the 26-27th September, 2014.

Founded in 2005, on the initiative of a group of leading Belgian antique dealers, Brussels Art Square asbl aims to raise the profile, both at home and abroad, of the Sablon and its surrounding area as a historic art and antiques district, with the intention of preserving the originality and charm of this quarter of Brussels.

After several years of existence, Brussels Art Square ASBL has now given itself a dimension that is both international and original. Indeed, a European country will be invited to share these exhibition days with the antique dealers and gallery owners of the Sablon. And we are inaugurating this new formula with the United Kingdom, from where we welcome 15 renowned antique dealers. With the National Trust as guest of honour..
