A Shigaraki Cha-tsubo
Smaller than many, and with a particularly pleasing form, tapering from a broad bulging shoulder to a small foot, with a tall everted rim and four applied lugs for tying a cloth cover. Only about a fifth of the surface is covered with a treacly green ash glaze, dissipating in creamy yellow splashes at the edges
