A Zohiko Lacquer Kogo
The orange-red lacquer box with two cranes flying over a landscape with mountains, a waterfall and the ‘shochikubai‘ (three friends of winter, pine, bamboo and plum) in gold hiramakie with kirigane. The interior with a tray deciorated with flowering cherry which covers two smaller fitted boxes, the cover of one with a plum medallion, the other a wreath of nadeshiko (pinks). There is a finger hole in the base to facilitate removing the interior boxes
