The ivory only very lightly stained. The puppy is scratching with its hind paw and glancing to one side, the pupils inlaid in mid toned buffalo horn

Although Okatomo puppies are quite numerous, few of them are scratching, an aspect which adds life to the composition.  The expressiveness conveyed by the inlaid eyes is masterful and typical of Okatomo, even at this great age
