Four-case Lacquer Inro with Dragon
A classic early Edo inro decorated with a dragon amongst clouds across the two sides in takamakie, originally with kirigane, most of which is now lost. The cord runners are covered in silver mounts engraved with scrolls, a vestige of the earlier practice of using external loops
