Ivory netsuke of a male tiger by Yamaguchi Okatomo (active 1780-1830) 

Recumbent and looking behind it, the tail snaking up to the middle of its back.  The markings of the coat are well defined, and much of the original stain remains.  The eyes are inlays of reddish horn
