Ivory netsuke of tigers by Tanaka Hoshinsai 

An adult crouching with one paw resting on its offspring on a cushion-like base.  Both have the half-crazed look that one associates with Osaka representations of the beast.  The stripes incised and the netsuke stained overall.  The eye pupils of the adult are dark horn, and the mouths of both bear traces of red stain
