Kurogaki Kiseruzutsu with monkey and crab
Unsigned. 23cm long
The black persimmon wood pipe case applied in gold or gilt copper with a long armed monkey hanging from a vine and stretching down towards a crab beneath the crescent moon, reflected by a silver inlay in the waters below. The monkey’s eyes are inlaid with dark horn and one hand forms the cord attachment.
