Project Description
Large Wood Netsuke of Snails by Hideharu
Two adults and a smaller snail clustered together
The lines of pigment are allegedly made using powdered turtle shell. While netsuke of single snails by many carvers are quite common, Hideharu is unusual in favouring such large groups of 2 or 3.
