Small Four-case Metal Inlaid Lacquer Inro, Attributed to Tsuchida Sōetsu (1660-1745)
The lacquer ground is Sōetsu’s characteristic reddish gold, rubbed through in areas to the roiro below. The decoration is of mountain habitations and trees with a fence and gate in inlaid silver wire
