Stained Cherry Wood Netsuke of a Rat and Shogi Piece by Kano Tomokazu
Nibbling on the game piece, inscribed keima, which it holds in its front paws. Its serpentine tail provides a cord attachment. The eyes are inlays of dark buffalo horn and the incisors are of ivory or bone
