Stoneware Saké Ewer

Of pleasing shape, the round bowl pinched into a triangular rim to produce a spout at the front apex, and applied with a scrolling handle.  The opaque greenish-grey glaze has dribbles of brown, and the bottom third of the body is unglazed

Probably Kyoto.  Circa 1800
