Crouching with all three paws drawn together, looking up with its large ears reaching half way down its back. They eyes are large cabochons of dark horn

In its conception, this is closer to the ivory variant with coral eyes, formerly in the Bosshard collection (Moss, ‘Such Stuff as Dreams are Made on’, no. 64) than the wood one in the Barbanson collection, sold at Bonhams London, 13th May 2013, lot 8 (£43,250)
