Worn Early Wood Netsuke of Handaka Sonja
Dressed in an Indian robe draped over one shoulder and holding aloft his alms bowl which contains his dragon in its entirety. The right side of the face is very well worn from use. Although there are typical 18th century himotoshi low in the back, there are also signs that this might have been attached by passing a cord around the neck and under the beard and crooked arm holding the bowl
