Ivory Seal Netsuke Carved as Daruma by Mitsushige
Of pleasing simplified shape which fits comfortably in the hand, Daruma looks skyward and emits a primordial scream. His eyes are almost flush inlays of dark buffalo horn, each surrounded by and incised circle. The attenuated base is cut with a single character seal, and the ivory has a deep yellow colour
