Max Ruthersrton Ltd. wholeheartedly backs reasoned initiatives aimed at safeguarding wild elephants in Africa and Asia and combatting the exportation of poached ivory. However, it is his firm belief that there exists no connection between the trade in antique ivory and the endangerment of these majestic creatures. Regardless of their antiquity, and with almost no exceptions, works of art carved from elephant ivory are no longer permitted to be sold within the United Kingdom.
