The outer sleeve decorated with Hotei and two boys, one dancing on the verso, the outlines and details delineated by slivers of shell with some coloured lacquer areas. Eac of the three cases within is divided in two and lacquered red
Inscribed in shell: Naonobu with kaō for the design by Kano Naonobu
